Special Guest Worship Leader - Also Directing All-State Team and Choir
Glynis Varlack Allgood currently serves as Music and Administrative Pastor for a small church in northern Nashville, TN. She has been actively involved in church music for over 25 years directing choirs, praise teams and rehearsals and leading in worship. She offers a unique style of keyboarding that mixes contemporary, gospel and traditional styles and believes in leading worship by example and with excellence.
"I grew up in a very musical family. My 4 brothers (including my twin) and 2 sisters are all involved in music to some degree. We all sing together as a family when the opportunity presents itself even participating in well-attended family concerts over the years. To think, it all began with a group of 5 little ones singing 'It's Bubbling' in an airport on the trip to Tennessee from the Virgin Islands where the 5 oldest children were born."
I've provided background vocals for several studio albums and was featured along with 2 of my siblings, Gerald and Charmaine, on a primary recording for the Broadcast Record Club which proved to be one of their most popular sellers."
In her solo career, "G" as she is affectionately known by young people across the state of Tennessee, has been featured on the stage at state functions and international events and broadcasts. She desires to magnify and praise the Lord to the best of her ability and to lead others to a true praise and worship experience. In her spare time, she enjoys reading and working with graphics. She lives in Nashville with her charming 14 year old daughter, Noelle.
"I give God ALL the glory!"

Special Musical Guest Cody McCarver
![]() |
Cody was born in Spencer, Tennessee and by the age of 9 had become the church pianist at the Spencer Church of God of Prophecy and for many years remained the piano player at his local church and performed with multiple southern gospel and contemporary Christian acts.
After one year of college Cody was offered the opportunity to move to Nashville and pursue a career in the country music industry. Cody spent two years as the bass player and road manager for the legendary country music artist Lynn Anderson. Immediately following those two years, Cody signed a recording contract with Giant Records (Warner Brothers), and spent six years touring as Cody McCarver and Southern Exposure.
In 1998 Cody joined the multi-platinum band Confederate Railroad. Although he spent twelve years as a member of Confederate Railroad, in 2006 he began to write his own material in hopes of a solo career in the music business. In 2007, those hopes began to take shape and Cody traveled to Hollywood, California to record his first solo album at the legendary Capitol Studios. His first album, self-titled "Cody McCarver was released in 2008. The album garnered three number one videos on CMT Pure (Country Music Television) and he received the honor of becoming one of Country Music's leading industry magazines "Music Row" independent artist of the year for two consecutive years.
In the next few entries, we will be highlighting more of Cody's story, including the inspiration for his return to Gospel Music. "Cody has a compelling story that needs to be heard by the people of today's church" says, Dr. E.C. McKinley, the Presiding Bishop for the Church of God of Prophecy, "and we are excited that he will be with us for the Tennessee State Convention to be held at OCI in Cleveland, Tennessee July 16-19, 2015. Make plans now to attend.

The Cause
In just a few months we will gather at the Omega Conference International for the purpose of conducting business for the Tennessee Church of God of Prophecy. We fully expect there to be representatives from all of our churches as enjoy the rich fellowship and the worship of our soon coming King.
On this site, hopefully you have found the m any hotels offering space for the convention period, and you will note the contact information on each of these entries. Cleveland has grown up a bit since our last State Convention there so many years ago, but most of the change is for the better. There are new restaurants available along with the lodging choices, as well you will have the opportunity to visit the White Wing Bookstore located at our International Offices complex on Keith Street. I have learned that some will even make a trip to Fields of the Wood, which is a little over an hour from the convention site.
I am asking that you all join with us in prayer for this very special event taking place at the end of July. There will be a lot of good, new information shared about the progress of our work and you will hear anointed preaching and teaching from God's Word.
So make plans to be with us as we ask the question, Is there not a cause?
